Great turnout for Scarecrow Competition
Precious crops should be safe from hungry birds this summer as Binswood has a whole host of scarecrows standing guard.
The Binswood Scarecrow Competition, which took place on Saturday 2 May, attracted plenty of interest from creators and onlookers alike.
With 16 excellent entries, The Mayor of Leamington, Councillor John Knight, had a tough task in choosing two winners.
Claire Jones and family won first prize for Best Scarecrow while Bonny Landsborough clinched first prize for the Most Original. The winners each received a box of chocolates.
There was a great turnout for the event with the usual tea and cakes served up in the Community Hut.
If you couldn’t make it to the event, do take a walk around the plots and see the fantastic entries.
As always, a big thank you to everyone who helped to make the afternoon a huge success.
